Encoding and Interpreting in Digital Humanities

The individual mobility project (no. NF-CZ07-INP-5-346-2016) is implemented in a form of the research stay at the Department of Philosophy and the Wittgenstein Archive, the University of Bergen in Norway. The main objective of the project is to investigate an influence of text-encoding utilizing digital tools upon the understanding content of texts and manuscripts that are to be digitalized. The shift in methodology of interpretation of the text-content that is caused by digitalization is to be examined on the case of the Bergen Electronic Edition of Wittgenstein Nachlass and the Bergen Electronic Wittgenstein Source. The project is financed by the EEA and Norway Grants, Scholarship Programme and Bilateral Scholarship Programme CZ07.
