This workshop explores the intersection of computational history and the history of science, which will be held on October 18, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in the Department of Philosophy, Room RJ 209, focusing on its epistemological foundations and the distinct challenges it presents. The speakers will delve into questions such as the role of formal models in shaping historiographical narratives, the differences between digital and computational history, and how computational methods applied to the history of science differ from other historical domains. Special attention will be given to case studies in the history of alchemy and chemistry.
