The art of knowledge

What you don’t normally learn about the early Ludwig Wittgenstein is his love of art, which inspired much of his philosophical work. I would like to give you a brief introduction to his relationship to prose, music, poetry and theatre, and his efforts to legitimize knowledge from these discourses, albeit from a somewhat unconventional perspective under which philosophy has rarely come before this author. In an age of neuroscience, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of science, does art have anything to offer us?” And I will supplement this with just a little of how the issue of art and its contribution within knowledge is viewed today.
