Spinoza and psychedelics

Spinoza’s Ethics produces a radical conception of metaphysics that is in surprising harmony with the conceptions often achieved in states of altered consciousness induced by psychedelic experiences. Spinoza’s systematically constructed conceptual apparatus attempts to bring about an awareness of the unity of being and its necessary existence in God/Nature, and yet we can understand it immediately and without further preparation, so that it can suddenly “enlighten” even a non-philosopher or a person lacking any training.
