How to (un)become a successful writer?

This time I chose creative writing as my topic for the Philosophy Circle. I love writing myself, have been writing since I was eight years old and have two published books under my belt. I would like to point out, however, that I do not consider myself an expert at all, telling people how to write. However, I will share my opinions about writing at the lecture itself.
