Feminist elements in mainstream comedies

It’s time to take a break from demanding academic texts, so I invite you all to take a journey through the world of film and TV series through the eyes of a feminist. Using a few examples of more or less, known or unknown works (the ones that have captured my heart and brain), we will explore how to look at an audiovisual work through a different perspective, and then discuss where to look, and what deeper themes can be uncovered by extending our gaze beyond the surface of such works. What do Wednesday, Shrek and True Blonde have in common? Let’s debate!
