We would like to invite you to the lecture of Prof. Ctirad Václav Pospíšil entitled “Christianity and Darwin: World Theology 1871-1910 and the Theory of Evolution”, which will take place on Wednesday 29 November at 17:00 in room SP319, Sedláčkova 15, Plzeň.
Abstract: In his lecture, Prof. Pospíšil traces the first reactions of (especially Catholic) theologians to Darwin’s theory and points out the still inspiring ideas of Czech and world Christian thinkers who began to promote the acceptance of the theory of evolution in the Catholic Church.
