AI Act: a challenge not only for Europe

The Department of Philosophy and CCS-Lab ZČU invite you to a workshop aimed at reflecting on AI Act, its background and expected impacts from a philosophical perspective and from the perspective of practice.

The introductory lectures will be given by Jan Romportl (Elin.ai) and Pavel Petrman (Leuze).

The focus of the workshop will be on papers by students of the Philosophy for Artificial Intelligence programme – Kateřina Mrázková, Tereza Sinkulová, Viktor Jacko, Lukáš Pazderník and Vojtěch Polívka.

The programme will be closed by the PhD students of the Department of Philosophy, who deal with artificial intelligence in interdisciplinary contexts – Jana Švadlenková, Jan Fršlínek and Jan Tvrz. The workshop is planned as a discussion forum on the current societal topic of AI regulation and is open to those interested from the academic community of the University of West Bohemia and the public.

The workshop will take place on May 3, 2024, 10:30-16:00, FF ZČU SP319 (Sedláčkova 19, Plzeň).
